Kamile Kapel is a singer-songwriter and "edutainer" from Vancouver, Canada who combines music, comedy and personal growth in a unique show that will involve and enliven the crowd. Her soulful alto voice draws comparisons to Sade and Natalie Merchant while her sensual, comedic style is reminiscent of Bette Midler. A multi-instrumentalist, Kamile performs solo on a pro arranger keyboard with hip beats and high quality sounds as well as on acoustic guitar. She is accompanied by lifetime guitarist and producer, Andrew Butler who sings harmonies that make their songs shimmer. Kamile also facilitates in person and online singing workshops. With roots in classical and jazz piano, Kamile has studied music and songwriting extensively at VCC in Vancouver and at the Musicians Institute in LA. She also completed SFU's acting program and she went to clown school. Her artistic journey has taken her from performing experimental theatre in New York to creating and starring in her one-woman show, "Give Me That Map," which received critical acclaim at The Chutzpah Festival. Her travels in India and California inspired her debut album, "Kiss the Ground", featuring songs influenced by Rumi and her own spiritual quest.
